Lagos Coronavirus Cases may Rise to 120,000

Alarmingly, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Lagos State is increasing daily. This, at the moment is sending fear and panic to the residents of the state. Just yesterday, according to the report from the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), the state recorded 176 new confirmed cases out of the 386. It has since became the epicenter of the spread of the virus in the country with 1667 out of the 3912 total confirmed cases in less than 3 months. The Commissioner for Health in the state, Prof. Akin Abayomi, have also mentioned that these figures (in Lagos alone) may have an upward rise to 120,000 between July and August.
