The Lagos State Commissioner of Police (C.P), Mr. Fatai Owoseni, has declared intentions to stop the popular music star, Innocent Idibia (also known as Tuface)’s planned protest. He categorically said that he would not allowed any protest of such in the metropolis.
Recall that Tuface recently announced plans to stage a march on Feb. 6th against the Government’s inactivity to solve some 10 pointed problems that have been lingering since 1999. via his Instagram page, he has also stated that the protest is not directed at any person but aimed at tackling these humanity related issues.
However, the Commissioner, Mr. Owoseni, have stated that the police command is not ready for that kind of demonstration. He stated that the police have received an intelligence report that some criminals are planning to hijack the process to perpetuate evils in the metropolis.
According to him, no matter how good an intention is, hoodlums would always find a way to harass, rob and attack innocent members of the public who may wish to go about their lawful duties. Adding that the Organiser, Tuiface have will have a weak control over that proposed large amount od crowd.
“We know that Tuface does not have the capacity to contain such a crowd and we will not fold our hands and watch while things go out of hand,” he stressed.
